Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A magnitude 3.1 earthquake shook the waters southwest of South Kuta, Bali on Tuesday morning (14/7/2026), according to the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG). The agency reported that the minor tremor occurred at approximately 7 am.

The earthquake was centered at coordinates 9.48 South Latitude and 115.19 East Longitude, placing the epicenter about 76 kilometers southwest of South Kuta, Bali. BMKG noted that the seismic activity originated from a relatively shallow source, registering a depth of 29 kilometers.

"This information prioritizes speed, so the data processing results are not yet stable and could change as more data becomes available," BMKG said in an official disclaimer on its social media account.

Due to the mild intensity of the quake, there were no immediate reports of damage or disruption to local activities.
