Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A magnitude 3.4 earthquake struck the southeast region of Buru Regency, Maluku, on Sunday evening (19/7.2026) at 7.02 pm.
The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported that the epicenter was located 28 kilometers southeast of Buru at coordinates 3.49° South Latitude and 127.23° East Longitude, with a shallow depth of 7 kilometers.
"This information prioritizes speed, so data processing results are not yet fully stable and may change as complete data becomes available," BMKG said via its official account on X.
No immediate reports of casualties or structural damage were released following the shallow tremor. Authorities continue to monitor the situation while advising local residents to stay updated through official channels.
