Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported a magnitude 3.5 earthquake northwest of Jailolo, North Maluku, on Sunday (31/5/2026) at 08.16 am.
The quake’s epicenter was located at 1.43°N and 126.94°E, approximately 71 kilometers northwest of Jailolo, at a depth of 34 kilometers. BMKG noted that the information was released quickly and may be updated as further data becomes available.
No immediate reports of damage or casualties were issued. Authorities continue to monitor the situation and advise residents to remain calm and follow official guidance.
