Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported a 4.0-magnitude earthquake struck northeast of Sigi, Central Sulawesi, at 11.48 am on Tuesday (16/6/2026).
The epicenter was located at 1.05° South Latitude and 120.11° East Longitude, about 45 kilometers northeast of Sigi, at a depth of 10 kilometers.

BMKG emphasized that the report was preliminary and could change as more complete data becomes available. No immediate reports of damage or casualties were released following the tremor.
