Inp.polri.go.id - Tarakan. Officers from the Mobile Brigade (Brimob) of North Kalimantan Regional Police responded to a fire at Warung Makan Mie Ayam ABC  chicken noodle  stall on Jalan Mulawarman, Tarakan City, Tuesday (16/6/2026) 2026. 

Officers were deployed to help extinguish the flames and secure the area to prevent the fire from spreading. An Armoured Water Cannon (AWC) was mobilized to support firefighting efforts alongside local fire services and other agencies. 

“North Kalimantan Police’s Brimob is always ready to assist in emergencies. We deployed officers and one AWC unit to help extinguish the fire and ensure safety,” said Senior Superintendent. Sarly Sollu, the Brimob Commander of the North Kalimantan Police.

Initial reports suggest the blaze may have been caused by an electrical short circuit, though investigations are ongoing. Authorities urged residents to regularly check electrical installations to reduce fire risks.
