Balikpapan Sub-regional City Police conduct security operation throughout election process as proactive measures by dispatching personnel to Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) of Balikpapan on Thursday (3/21/2024). Head Ops of Balikpapan Sub-regional City, Police Assistant Superintendent Joko, explains that the dispatch of personnel to related institutions is part of police commitment in maintaining security and smooth of election process. “We took this measure as part of our responsibility in guaranteeing public safety and order during our most important moment. Security personnel are not only stationed at General Election Commission (KPU) office, Bawaslu office, and election logistic warehouse, but also intensively patrol around various location,” said Joko. Joko also reveals that the patrol aimed to continuously guaranteed the security, warmth, and conducive situation throughout 2024 General Election.
