Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Maluku Regional Police Mobile Brigade (Brimob) Corps officers deployed an Armoured Water Cannon (AWC) vehicle to extinguish a fire near Company 3 Battalion A Pioneer headquarters in Namlea, Buru Regency, on Thursday (13/8/2026).

Thirty personnel led by Company Commander Assistant Senior Inspector Robby Sinay responded around 6.20 pm local time, suppressing the flames and completing cooling operations within an hour.

"Once we learned of the fire, we deployed officers immediately to stop its spread and ensure safety," he said.

Maluku Brimob Commander Senior Superintendent Tedy Purnanto added that unit readiness remains a priority for emergency responses, urging residents to report active fires immediately.
