inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) stated that the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program will adapt to situations and conditions, such as those during Ramadan.

"The distribution of MBG will continue even during Ramadan. However, the mechanism will change to accommodate the situation," said Zulhas on Friday (2/6/2026).

He explained that the MBG distribution will continue as usual. However, Muslim students will be given dry meals to take home. Meanwhile, non-Muslim students will receive ready-to-eat meals, as usual.

"During Ramadan, not all students are Muslim. Those who are Muslim will be given dry meals to eat after breaking the fast. Non-Muslims will still receive ready-to-eat meals," he explained.

The dry meal menu for Muslim students includes boiled eggs, nuts, packaged milk, bread, and other items. Zulhas ensured that the menus provided to beneficiaries, including students, pregnant women, and children under two, met established nutritional standards.

"Every Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) has experts who assess nutritional standards for students and other beneficiaries. So, it's safe," said the Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulhas.
