inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has confirmed that the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program for vulnerable groups, namely toddlers, pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers (3B) will continue during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr holiday.
"The MBG program for pregnant women, toddlers, and breastfeeding mothers will continue even though schools are closed," said Sonny Sonjaya, Vice Head of the BGN's Nutrition Fulfillment Operations Division, on Monday (3/9/2026).
Sonny stated that MBG distribution to school students will not be conducted from March 18-24, 2026. However, after the Eid al-Fitr holiday ends, the program will resume as usual.
"Distribution to students will return to normal after Eid," said Sonny.
Regarding potential public complaints on the implementation of the MBG program, the agency encourages the public to submit criticism directly to the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) managers.
Sonny has also instructed SPPG partners to upload MBG meal menus on social media as part of their transparency with the public.
He said the information uploaded should not only include menus, but also include nutritional content and the cost of providing food under the MBG Program.
"The National Agency for Food Safety (BGN) has instructed all Food Service Providers (SPPGs) to create social media platforms as a means of communication between them and the public. They are required to upload menus, nutritional content, and prices," said Deputy Sonny.
According to him, this step aims to ensure the public can transparently understand the quality and composition of the food provided to program beneficiaries.
"If the goal is to improve, please approach the SPPG and request improvements. But if the goal is to make it viral, that depends on the individual's intentions. We cannot prohibit them," he said.
