inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) stated that the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program focuses on improving children's nutritional intake, reducing malnutrition and anemia, and realizing nutritional equality for children.
National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Promotion and Education Expert, Anyelir Puspa Kemala, said that MBG’s primary goal is to achieve the grand vision of Golden Indonesia 2045.
By optimizing local resources, the MBG program is expected to be not only sustainable, but also able to absorb agricultural products, open new job opportunities, and increase school participation.
Then, through synergy between the central government, regional governments, and the community, the MBG program is expected to be a strong foundation in producing a healthy, intelligent, and competitive generation of Indonesians.
"The MBG program also drives the wheels of the local economy towards Golden Indonesia 2045," said Expert Puspa, Wednesday (10/1/2025).
Member of Commission IX of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Tubagus Haerul Jaman, added that MBG was formed with the aim of improving the nutrition of the general public, especially children and mothers, as well as reducing stunting and malnutrition rates.
In addition to providing access to healthy food, this program also boosts the local economy and educates the public on the importance of a healthy and balanced diet.
"We invite the entire community to support and actively participate so that this program truly provides sustainable benefits," explained Tubagus.
