Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Directorate of Drug Investigation of the Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police has intercepted a drug distribution operation in North Jakarta, seizing 1,000 ecstasy pills and 115.16 grams of crystal methamphetamine in a raid linked to a distribution network allegedly controlled from within a prison.

"We have secured two suspects, identified as T (40) and F (43)," said Superintendent Tiyatno Pamungkas, the Head of Sub-directorate 2 of the Metro Jaya Drug Investigation Directorate, on Sunday (10/5/2026), as cited by antaranews.com. 

The operation took place on 5 May 2026 at the Greenbay Apartment complex in Penjaringan.

Suspect T was arrested in the apartment’s motorcycle parking area with 100 ecstasy pills. Following an immediate development of the case, police raided a specific unit within the apartment, where they arrested suspect F and discovered an additional 900 ecstasy pills, several clips of crystal meth, a digital scale, and two mobile phones. 

Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspects were acting on orders from an inmate inside a prison. Both suspects and the evidence have been moved to the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters for further legal processing.
