Inp.polri.go.id - Medan. Chief Sergeant Hendri, a Deli Serdang Military Command soldier, thankedto the Indonesian National Police (INP) after his son was recruited as a  non-commissioned police cadet through the 2024 disability program.

“I’m very thankful to INP Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo for opening opportunities for people with disabilities to join government institutions,” he said in a statement on Thursday (3/10/2024)..

Hendri shared that his son, Rendi Arif Pratama (17), was thrilled to see the recruitment announcement on social media. Skeptical at first, he visited the Human Resources Division of the Deli Serdang Police Station to confirm and was advised to bring Rendi to apply in person.

Rendi, who has a strong background in sports, underwent a series of tests, including health, psychology, academics, and physical examinations, before officially being accepted.

The disability program initiative is part of Chief Sigit’s inclusive policy. In February 2024, the INP also recruited two people with disabilities through the Police Inspector School for University Graduates (SIPSS) program.
