inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia, Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, said that the government will continue to modernize the Main Weapons System (Alutsista). This is done to strengthen the defense of Indonesia's sovereignty.

"Currently, we are entering an era of modernization of military equipment. The government continues to work hard to improve our defense capabilities," he said, as reported by the RRI  on Tuesday (2/4/2025).

TNI Commander, General TNI Agus Subiyanto, and the rank meets Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin and discussed the Patrol Boat grant from the Official Security Assistance of Japan.

In his statement, Agus Subiyanto, said that this Patrol Boat grant would boost the effectiveness of Indonesia's maritime security operations. 

"This is able to meet the need for more effective and efficient patrols," he said.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Defense, and the Inspector General of the Ministry of Defense. Also the Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces, Assistant Commander of the TNI, Kapuspen TNI, and others were invited guests were also present.
