Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  Minister of Law Supratman Andi Agtas welcomed Singapore’s commitment to implementing the extradition and mutual legal assistance agreements signed with Indonesia.

The commitment was made during the high-level Leader’s Retreat between President Prabowo Subianto and Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong in Singapore on Monday (16/6/2025).

“One of the key issues raised was the extradition treaty. The Singaporean government has committed to carrying out the agreement that has already been signed,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

Minister Supratman described the move as a breakthrough in cross-border legal cooperation, especially as both countries prepare for the extradition of Paulus Tannos, a fugitive in Indonesia’s electronic ID corruption case. Tannos, arrested by Singapore’s anti-corruption agency, is scheduled for a committal hearing on June 23–25.

The two countries also signed a number of memorandum of understanding on clean energy, food security, and youth farming programs. The agreements, Minister Supratman added, will be supported by the Law Ministry To ensure legal infrastructure aligns with the sectors involved.
