inp.polri.go.id - West Nusa Tenggara. The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police continues to enhance security ahead of the 2026 Mandalika MotoGP. Thousands of joint personnel are deployed to secure the series of events, supported by dozens of security posts at several strategic locations.

Vice Chief of the NTB Regional Police, Brigadier General Hari Nugroho, stated that security involves various elements, including the Indonesian National Police (INP), the Indonesian National Military (TNI), the government, and community groups.

These thousands of personnel will carry out security duties through Operation Mandalika Rinjani 2026. This operation serves as a coordination forum for all elements involved during the MotoGP event.

Security is not only focused around the Mandalika Circuit. Several entry points on Lombok Island, which serve as entry points for the public and tourists to the Mandalika area, have also received attention.

Police have been involved in strengthening security in their respective areas, including anticipating traffic congestion and potential security disturbances during the event.

To support smooth public mobility, the NTB Regional Police have also set up dozens of security posts at strategic locations.

These posts will help regulate traffic and provide services and information to people heading to the Mandalika area.

"During Operation Mandalika Rinjani, we have prepared dozens of security posts to help regulate and provide information to people heading to Mandalika," he said.

Hari stated that route mapping is also ongoing. The NTB Regional Police have conducted several surveys, starting from the Mandalika Circuit area to the route connecting Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport (BIZAM) with the Mandalika area.

These surveys were conducted to identify points potentially prone to traffic congestion. In addition to the surveys, the police also conducted simulations to anticipate various obstacles that might arise during the MotoGP event.

"We have conducted multiple surveys around the circuit area, including from BIZAM Airport, to determine potential congestion points. We've also conducted simulations to identify any potential obstacles during the event, ensuring smooth implementation," he said.

According to Hari, the success of security measures isn't solely determined by the number of personnel deployed. Coordination and speed of all elements in taking action on the ground are also crucial factors.
