inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Halal Product Guarantee Agency (BPJPH) in order to accelerate halal certification for MSMEs.
Minister of MSMEs Maman Abdurrahman emphasized that the success of MSMEs in their own home country can be achieved through close collaboration between various parties across sectors at the central and regional levels.
"Without collaborations, it is impossible for us to achieve this goal. And so, we would like to invite all parties to collaborate and join hands to support MSME entrepreneurs in our own home country," said Minister Maman on Thursday (3/13/2025).
Meanwhile, Head of BPJPH Ahmad Haikal Hasan said that halal certification can be a shield for MSMEs in facing competition in the domestic and international markets.
"We can make halal certification as a shield. Through this certification, we can become champions in our own country. With this certification, people will be encouraged to choose halal, good, and domestic products and eventually support the growth of MSMEs," explained the Head of BPJPH.
On the other hand, Ahmad also reminded that the deadline for halal certification obligations is 2026. Therefore, MSME entrepreneurs are urged to immediately register for the halal certification through the official BPJPH system.
