inp.polri.go.id - Yogyakarta. Haedar Nashir, Chairman of the Muhammadiyah Central Executive Board, conveyed his congratulations on the 80th Bhayangkara Day to the Indonesian National Police (INP) on Wednesday (7/1/2026). He expressed his hope that INP will continue to improve their professionalism in carrying out their duties as protectors, guardians, and servants of the public.
In his message, Haedar Nashir commended the performance of INP under the leadership of General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, who he considered to be continuously striving to maintain public security and order.
"INP has become more able to carry out their functions optimally in maintaining security and order," Haedar said, as quoted on Thursday (7/2/2026).
Haedar also expressed his hope that INP will continue to strengthen their role in providing protection, guardianship, and service to the public. He believes that professional, just, and integrity-based law enforcement is key to improving public trust in the police institution.
He believes the spirit of the 80th Bhayangkara Day, which carries the theme "Police for the People," must be reflected in the performance of all police personnel. He believes the police must remain present in the community, understand their needs, and prioritize their interests in every service.
"We are confident that INP will become stronger as they are with the community. Together with the community, INP will be able to become a strategic pillar for the nation and state," he said.
