Inp.polri.go.id - Musi Rawas. The Musi Rawas Sub-regional Police modified 13 operational vehicles into rapid-response firefighting units on Tuesday (25/8/2026) in Musi Rawas Regency, South Sumatra, to accelerate forest and land firefighting efforts.

"We hope this proactive measure will prevent larger fires before the main fleet arrives," said Musi Rawas Police Chief Superintendentl Agung Adhitya Prananta during the launch.

The vehicles were equipped with high-capacity water tanks, high-pressure pumps, and fire hoses. Out of the 13 units, nine are deployed to local police offices, two to the Traffic Unit, and one each to the Community Policing and Patrol units. Officers were also provided with 39 pairs of boots to support field safety.

South Sumatra Regional Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Nandang Mu'min Wijaya praised the innovation for maximizing existing operational resources to protect the environment and maintain regional economic stability.
