inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Ahmad Muzani invited every citizen to use the momentum of World Anti-Corruption Day 2024 to declare their serious intention to avoid corrupt practices.

"I hope today is the day when every Indonesian, be it the public or government officials, commit to avoid corruption, to distance themselves from corruption, to not involve themselves and their institutions to corruption. That commitment must at the very least be proclaimed," stated the Chairman of the MPR on Monday (12/9/2024).

He emphasized that eradicating corruption is the main agenda of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka government.

“If we are paying attention to the speech of President Prabowo in his presidential inauguration, his instruction to his cabinet, and other speeches, he has firmly stated that corruption to be one of his main agenda in his government,” said Muzani.

Therefore, Muzani concludes that the government will not only put their effort to reach the 8 percent economic growth goal, but also eliminating every factors that could hinder that effort, including corruption.
