Inp.polri.go.id - Bogor.  President Prabowo Subianto reaffirmed that national self-reliance in key sectors such as defense, energy, and industry must start with building globally competitive education.

“Indonesia cannot achieve true independence in strategic sectors without top-tier human capital developed through world-class education,” said Cabinet Secretary Lieutenant Colonel Teddy Indra Wijaya on Monday (23/6/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

In his  private residence in Hambalang, President Prabowo led a limited cabinet meeting to discuss Sekolah Garuda—a new elite boarding school program aimed at grooming talented youth from across the archipelago.

The school combines Indonesia’s national curriculum with international academic standards, offering full scholarships regardless of socioeconomic background. Admission will be merit-based, involving academic track records and rigorous testing.

Designed as a strategic national initiative, Sekolah Garuda aims to prepare students for admission to top global universities and to become future leaders driving Indonesia’s progress.
