Inp.polri.go.id - Jambi. The Navy hospital ship, dr. Radjiman Wedyodiningrat-992, has reached Indonesian waters following its humanitarian mission to deliver aid to Gaza via the port of El Arish, Egypt.
Part of the 2024 Port Visit Task Force in Egypt, the ship was expected to dock at its final destination in Jakarta, on 15 March 2024, the Navy's Public Relations Office announced on Sunday (10/3/2024).
After a 14-day journey from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, KRI dr. Radjiman, carrying 214 personnel, arrived at Batu Ampar Port in Batam, Riau Islands, on Saturday, as reported by antaranews.com.
Navy Chief of Staff, Admiral Muhammad Ali, expressed gratitude to the personnel for their successful mission to aid the people of Gaza.
He said that the 242-ton aid carried by KRI dr. Radjiman was delivered to the Egyptian Red Crescent for distribution to Gaza's war victims.
KRI Radjiman sailed from Jakarta on 18 January 2024, and arrived at the Port of El Arish on13 February 2024..
The mission marked the first trans-oceanic mission for the dr. Radjiman ship outside Indonesian waters.
