Inp.polri.go.id - Ngawi. The Traffic Unit of the Ngawi Sub-regional Police distributed clean water supplies to assist residents facing acute water shortages caused by ongoing drought across Bringin District, Ngawi Regency, East Java.
The relief action, conducted on Saturday through the "Sedekah Air Bersih" (SABER) clean water charity program, reached drought-impacted communities across Kenongorejo Village, Suruh Village, and Gandong Village.
Ngawi Police Head of Traffic Unit Assistant Senior Inspector Moh. Imam Reza said that the SABER initiative reflects the institution's commitment to delivering direct social support during environmental crises.
"Through the SABER program, we want to demonstrate that the police are always present to provide tangible benefits for the community. We hope this clean water assistance eases the burden on residents affected by drought in Bringin District," he noted on Sunday (11/10/2026).
Chief Reza highlighted that humanitarian operations form an essential component of humanistic policing, reinforcing community bonds through shared social responsibility.
Under the "Police with the Community" approach, Ngawi Police reaffirm that law enforcement roles extend beyond maintaining public order to providing immediate humanitarian relief during natural disasters and seasonal hardships.
