inp.polri.go.id - Ternate. North Maluku Regional Police Chief Inspector General Waris Agono instructed all his staff to be transparent and effective in managing finances to avoid irregularities.
"In addition, the main goal is to detect potential irregularities early on, as well as to strengthen the internal control system," said Waris Agono on Tuesday (5/6/2025).
The audit, scheduled to take place from May 5 to 30, covers various areas, from operations, human resources, logistics, to finance.
Waris appealed to all heads of work units to establish open and cooperative communication with the audit team.
"This performance audit is not just an evaluation, but an integral part of ensuring that the implementation of tasks runs effectively and efficiently," continued Waris.
Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of audits as an initial control instrument for work programs that have been designed.
The Chief of North Maluku Regional Police also highlighted the repeated findings in the results of the previous year's audit, which indicated weaknesses in internal supervision.
He emphasized the importance of the role of the heads of work units as authorized users of the budget to follow up on these findings seriously.
In conclusion, he encouraged budget transparency through public information media such as official websites and bulletin boards in the work environment of each work unit.
