Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. North Maluku Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Midi Siswoko expects local religious organizations to jointly maintain peace, stability and security ahead of 2024 General Election, (9/11/2023).
“I want to remind that now is ehead of the elections and we have to be cautious. North Maluku is region prone to conflicts because its community may be easily influenced. It is important for religious organization to jointly maintain peace this region desperately need,” said Siswoko after a meeting with Majelis Pengajian Tauhid Tasawuf Indonesia, a religious prayer group, on Sunday (9/11/2023).
He stated that for religious activities is suggested to be scheduled so that authorities could maintain the situation so as not to disturb other communities.
The two-star General added that North Maluku is ready to support the activity if its purpose is for building peace in the region.
