inp.polri.go.id - Medan. North Sumatra Police Chief (Kapolda Sumut) Inspector General Drs. R.Z. Panca Putra Simanjuntak, M.Sc., requires every police station to reach the target the second vaccine dose to 70% before entering the holy month of Ramadhan. Considering when in Ramadhan, the community activities tend to increase and there is a possibility of relaxation in the community. “Therefore, we have to optimized the remaining time to pursue the vaccine target. In doing so, we can be sure that our society is ready to enter the holy month of Ramadhan with a strong immune system," said Kapolda Sumut. In the current vaccine acceleration, Kapolda Sumut said that it is prioritized to push the second dose of vaccination for the elderly. "So that our elderly can be healthy and have a strong immune system, because they are among the vulnerable groups of Covid-19," adds Kapolda Sumut. Kapolda Sumut also requested that each Polres to conduct mapping and data collection on the elderly who have not been vaccinated with the first, second, or booster dose. "Coordinate it with the head of the neighborhood, then schedule a door-to-door vaccination, dispatch a vaccinator team for the inoculation to the community," concluded Kapolda Sumut.
