Inp.polri.go.id - Medan.  The Bomb Disposal Unit (Jibom) of North Sumatra Regional Police’s Mobile Brigade (Brimob) defused a military mortar bomb (UXO) found in Dusun III, Alur Cempedak Village, Pangkalan Susu District, Langkat regency, North Sumatra.

Brimob Officer Second Inspector Jujun Lesser Berutu said on Monday (26/8/2024) that the unit was dispatched to assist Langkat Police in diffusing the mortar bomb after it sparked concern among local residents.

Upon arriving at the location, the Jibom team followed standard procedures, securing the area to ensure the safety of nearby residents. The team conducted a thorough examination of the bomb before safely disposing of it according to established protocols.

The disposal process went smoothly, easing the fears of the community. Second Inspector Jujun praised his team for their professionalism, highlighting this operation as a testament to the high level of competency within the North Sumatra Brimob unit.
