Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Batam Immigration Office revealed that a fugitive from the Philippines, Alice Guo (AG), a former mayor of Bamban, has fled to Jakarta.

Batam Immigration Head Samuel Toba said at a press conference related to Operation Jagratara II on Monday (26/8/2024) that she was last traced heading to Jakarta, where both local immigration authorities and officials from the Philippines are currently tracking her.

Another fugitive, identified as WG, has reportedly escaped to Hong Kong before the Philippines issued a warrant for his arrest, according to antaranews.com.

The Batam Immigration Office became aware of these fugitives after the Philippine authorities issued a wanted notice on 19 August 2024. Two other Philippine fugitives, identified as SG (40) and KO (24), were detained in Batam while attempting to flee to Malaysia via Batam Center International Port and have since been handed over to the Philippine Immigration Bureau.

The investigation also uncovered the involvement of a Singaporean, identified as ZJ, who allegedly assisted in the fugitives' escape by booking hotel rooms in Batam. ZJ has since left Indonesia.
