Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The North Sumatra Regional Police constructed and revitalized 75 presisi red and white bridges across various regencies to enhance public access and regional mobility.

The inauguration was held concurrently with a national virtual ceremony attended by President Prabowo Subianto and Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo. In North Sumatra, the event was centered at a newly revitalized 20-meter bridge in Kutalimbaru District, Deli Serdang Regency.

"Under the direction of the President through the Police Chief, we are inaugurating Merah Putih Bridges simultaneously across Indonesia," said North Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General Whisnu Hermawan Februanto on Friday (14/8/2026). "The Kutalimbaru bridge has been reinforced to support vehicle loads up to 15 tons, reconnecting Deli Serdang to Binjai and Langkat."

He said that bridge construction will continue across remote areas to support local commerce, education, and social connectivity.
