inp.polri.go.id - The North Sumatra Regional Police (Polda Sumut) predicts that the peak of return flow in North Sumatra will occur on May 7 and 8, 2022. Citizens are advised to return early to avoid traffic jams. "We urge the public not to return at the last minute, because the returnflow peak is predicted to occur on Saturday and Sunday," said Director of Traffic Unit (Dirlantas) of Polda Sumut, Commissioner Indra Darmawan Irianto, Wednesday (04/05/22). Police Commissioner Indra Darmawan Irianto appealed to the public to return as soon as possible, or at least choose a time that is most likely not full of people returning home. "The earlier the better," said the North Sumatran Police Intermediate Officer. Until now, police officers have been on standby to anticipate return flow congestion. The focal point is on the eastern route of North Sumatra, starting from Tebing Tinggi, Tanjung Balai, Asahan, Labuhanbatu to Riau. These points are indeed the center of vehicle density in the past homecoming flow. "We also can't deny that we are anticipating the route to Aceh, such as the Sei Ampuh bridge which we continue to monitor," said Dirlantas Polda Sumut.
