Inp.polri.go.id - Mataram. The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police held a briefing on Monday (5/2/2024) to ensure preparedness for securing and checking logistics for the upcoming 2024 elections, deploying 7,629 security personnel in collaboration with the Indonesian Military.
Inspector General Raden Umar Faroq, Chief of the NTB Regional Police, stated, "Two days before the election day, starting on February 12, personnel will be deployed to move towards polling stations. Our objective is to secure the 16,244 polling stations in NTB and the nearby ballot boxes."
This election preparedness briefing serves the purpose of instilling confidence among the public.
"We guarantee a peaceful election on February 14, committed to preventing any pressure or intimidation at TPS," he emphasized.
He also encouraged citizens to fulfill their obligations and exercise their rights as voters, emphasizing that civic participation is crucial for a thriving democracy.
"Differing choices are inherent in democracy. Each person contributes to the goal of advancing the nation towards the target of 'Indonesia Emas 2024' (Golden Indonesia 2024)," he said.
