The Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation (Dit Reskrimsus) of the East Nusa Tenggara Police (Polda NTT) has arrested three suspects in the alleged corruption case in the Mnesatbatan Irrigation Development in North Central Timor (TTU) Regency. The detention of the three suspects, namely WL who served as PPK, DB as the Supervisory Consultant, and M who was the Implementing Contractor, took place on Saturday (25/06/22). The chairman of the NTT Anti-Corruption People's Alliance (ARAKSI), Alfred Baun, expressed his appreciation to the NTT Police Chief (Kapolda NTT) who has committed to solving the Mnesatbatan irrigation corruption case. The Chairperson of ARAKSI also supports Polda NTT to immediately conduct a search on the flow of funds and determine another suspect involved in the case, namely the Budget User Authority (KPA). "ARAKSI NTT really appreciates the performance of Polda NTT Investigators in handling the Mnesatbatan Irrigation corruption case. However, ARAKSI NTT urges investigators to also track the flow of funds in the process of working on the project," explained Alfred Baun. It is known, based on the results of the audit of the calculation of State Losses, the corruption has caused a State Loss of Rp1.1 billion.
