Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Transportation Ministry predicts traffic return flow for 2024 New Year Eve would be on January 1st and 2nd, 2024. The Ministry implores the public to schedule their departure carefully to avoid congestion in the Trans Java Toll road. “We assess that there are not many who have returned yet. However, we would like to remind you than on 1st and 2nd January, traffic might be crowded,” emphasized Transportation Minister Budi Karya on Saturday (12/30/2023). The Minister suggested that people return earlier on 30th or 31st December, or return after 1st and 2nd December as traffic will be full on that date. Furthermore, Budi implores the community not to force themselves to rest in the toll rest area if it's already full. He suggests people to instead exit in the nearest city and rest there instead. Budi implores the public to always update the latest information from official media such as toll road operators or from the police to see the information related to the traffic conditions.
