Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) reveals that IKN is being built as a city that is not only environmentally friendly but also individual-friendly. "We aim to create an IKN that fosters both environmental harmony and personal wellness. Ensuring individual well-being involves promoting healthier lifestyles," explained Myrna Asnawati Safitri, Deputy for Environment and Natural Resources of OIKN, on Monday (19/2/2024). Therefore, 80% of transportation in IKN will prioritize comfortable public transit, encouraging active commuting. This approach not only addresses pollution but also promotes walking for increased physical activity, she added. Furthermore, she highlighted IKN's commitment to providing residents with pleasant living environments characterized by cool, green spaces conducive to relaxation. "We aspire for IKN to be recognized as a global city that aligns with the principles of sustainable urban development," she added. She noted that in IKN, 75% of the area is designated as green space, the highest in Indonesia, compared to approximately 30% in other Indonesian cities. "IKN represents our collective vision for Indonesia a century after independence, in 2045. Our goal is to establish IKN as a 'world city for all,' meeting essential standards for a comfortable, resident-friendly environment that promotes happiness. This is our shared dream," she concluded.
