inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ombudsman signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Forestry (Kemenhut) and the National Border Management Agency (BNPP) in order to strengthen synergy between institutions as an effort to improve the quality of public services.
Vice Chairman of the Ombudsman Bobby Hamzar Rafinus hopes that the signing of the cooperation can improve communication and coordination, both in resolving public reports and in preventing maladministration, as well as the exchange of data and information between institutions.
"We hope that this MoU will be the beginning of intensive and productive cooperation for the sake of improving the quality of intensive and productive public services," said Bobby at the signing ceremony, quoted by Antaranews on Wednesday (4/30/2025).
Bobby also emphasized the importance of building trust between institutions in order to encourage the implementation of sustainable strategic activities.
The scope of the memorandum of understanding focuses on five main points, namely improving the quality of public services, preventing maladministration in public services, handling reports and complaints from the public regarding public services, developing the competence of civil servant resources, and exchanging data and/or information between institutions.
Representing the Head of BNPP, the Main Secretary of BNPP Makhruzi Rahman said that the border area is the front porch of the Republic of Indonesia which reflects the face of state services.
"Therefore, improving the quality of public services in the area is a must, not just a need," said Makhruzi.
