inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps is implementing the first phase of one-way traffic for the Eid al-Fitr return flow from kilometer 132 to kilometer 70 on the Trans Java Toll Road this Friday (3/27/2026).
"This morning at 7:30 a.m., we conducted public awareness campaigns and conducted clearance operations to welcome the return flow. Traffic is expected to increase this morning, so we are implementing the first phase of one-way traffic from kilometer 132 to kilometer 70," explained the Head of INP Traffic Corps, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, Friday (3/27/2026).
Following the implementation of the one-way traffic, the police will continue to monitor the situation on the ground. If traffic increases during the day, he continued, the authority will implement a second phase of local one-way traffic from KM 169 to KM 70.
Furthermore, if the increase in traffic continues, the local one-way traffic will be reopened from KM 188 to KM 70.
However, if traffic increases again, Agus is open to implementing a partial one-way traffic from KM 263 to KM 70 and a national one-way traffic from KM 414 to KM 70.
"Similarly, if the situation at the Kalikangkung Toll Gate shows that the traffic is reaching almost 4,000 (vehicles), we will likely reopen the national one-way traffic today," said Agus.
He further stated that the number of fatalities in accidents during the homecoming and return journeys this year decreased by 30.4 percent compared to last year.
"Regarding fatalities, which are accidents resulting in death, there was a 30.4 percent decrease. On the other hand, general traffic accidents during Operation Ketupat have decreased by 5.3 percent," concluded Agus.
