inp.polri.go.id - Batam. The Riau Islands Regional Police are optimizing services at the Batam Center Service Post and the Batam Center Integrated Post. These two posts serve as strategic points for providing services, security, and assistance to the public traveling through the Batam Center Port area.
The Head of the Public Relations Task Force for Operation Ketupat Seligi 2026, Senior Superintendent Pricillia Ohei, stated that the Batam Center Service Post is to provide direct services to the public, ranging from managing passenger flow, providing travel information, providing health services, and providing rapid assistance in emergency situations.
Meanwhile, the Batam Center Integrated Post serves as a cross-agency coordination center involving elements of the Indonesian National Military (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (INP), the Regional Government, the Transportation Agency, Basarnas (National Search and Rescue Agency), health workers, and other relevant agencies to ensure integrated, effective, and responsive security and services to the public.
"The Batam Center area itself is one of the main points of public mobility in Batam City, for both domestic passengers and international tourists entering and leaving the port," she explained on Monday (3/16/2026).
According to her, the presence of these two posts is crucial in supporting the smooth flow of homecoming travelers and maintaining security and order during the Eid al-Fitr holiday period.
"These posts are not merely a formality, but serve as command centers for services for those passing through, both domestic passengers and international tourists entering through Batam Center International Port," said the Head of Public Relations of the Riau Islands Regional Police.
The presence of the Service Post and Integrated Post in Batam Center demonstrates the commitment of the police, along with all relevant agencies, to providing a sense of security and the best service to the public.
