inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The government ensures that during the long Eid al-Fitr and Nyepi holidays, the Ministry of Health's hospitals will continue to provide emergency services, and on March 20-23, the service schedule will be rearranged with a focus on emergency services.
"During this long holiday, in accordance with the President's direction, we will remain operational for emergency procedures. So, for example, if someone has a stroke and requires emergency treatment, they can still go to the emergency room," said Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Monday (3/16/2026).
On March 20-23, the Minister of Health said, the schedule will be rearranged so that the procedures provided during that period will focus on emergency treatment. Meanwhile, elective or routine procedures will be moved to other days.
During a joint inspection with the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PAN-RB) at Dharmais Cancer Hospital, Budi stated that around 40 vertical hospitals were on standby for the service during the long holiday.
On the same occasion, Minister of PAN-RB Rini Widyantini stated that health services are essential. Therefore, her office ensures that these services continue to operate so that the public does not need to worry.
"As we know, today we have started working from anywhere, but of course we must ensure health services are still running as usual," said the Minister of PAN-RB.
