Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps announced that Operation Patuh 2026, scheduled for 8–22 June 2026 will emphasize modern and measured law enforcement.
Traffic Corps Chief Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho explained that enforcement will consist of 60% electronic ticketing (ETLE), 30% manual ticketing, and 10% educational or humanist approaches.
“ETLE dominance ensures objective, transparent, and accountable enforcement,” he said Monday (25/5/2026), as quoted by antaranews.com
ETLE will be applied through static cameras, mobile units, and drones capable of automatically recording traffic violations. Manual enforcement will target visible high-risk offenses such as driving against traffic flow, using phones while driving, underage driving, not wearing helmets or seatbelts, and overloaded vehicles.
Chief Agus emphasized that humanist approaches remain part of the operation, including education, socialization, and sympathetic warnings to encourage compliance. The initiative aims to reduce violations and accidents, ensuring safer and smoother traffic nationwide.
