Operation Zebra Lodaya Logs 10,000 Traffic Violations

inp.polri.go.id - West Java. The West Java Regional Police Traffic Directorate logged around 10,000 violations during the seven days of Operation Zebra Lodaya.

The Head of West Java Regional Police Public Relations, Senior Superintendent Jules Abraham Abast says that the operation goal is to improve public awareness in driving and complying with traffic law.

The law enforcement was uphold through Electric Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) and manual ticketing.

“Traffic law enforcement was decreasing, however our warning towards the drivers are increasing,” says Jules on Monday (10/21/2024).

He explains that the majority of violations revolve around helmet and vehicle usage. However, it was not mentioned what the majority of violations committed by four-wheeled vehicles.

"The number of traffic accidents has decreased compared to last year, where in 2023 there were 169 incidents and in 2024 there were 68 incidents," he said.
