Inp.polri.go.id - Palembang. The South Sumatra Regional Police hosted the massive South Sumatra Bhayangkara Run 2026 at the Jakabaring Sport City in Palembang on Sunday morning (12/7/2026), drawing 8,035 participants and prominent regional leaders to celebrate the 80th Bhayangkara Day.

South Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General Sandi Nugroho, along with the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) and the South Sumatra Governor Herman Deru, flagged off the 5K, 10K, and 21K race categories before mingling directly with the public.

"The main message is synergy and togetherness," South Sumatra Police Head of Public Relations Senior Inspector Nandang Mu’min Wijaya said after the event. "Through this event, we can directly witness how solid the Forkopimda ranks are in South Sumatra. Regional leaders and the public merged into one."

He expected this cross-agency collaboration will maintain a secure, collaborative environment to support South Sumatra development.
