Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A magnitude 3.3 earthquake struck southeast of Bitung, North Sulawesi, on Sunday evening (12/7/2026) at 6.07 pm.
The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported that the earthquake's epicenter was located at coordinates 0.75 North Latitude and 126.13 East Longitude.
"The epicenter was 135 kilometers southeast of Bitung, North Sulawesi, at a depth of 40 kilometers," BMKG announced via its official X account.
The agency noted that the preliminary information prioritizes speed, meaning the data processing is not yet stable and could change as more comprehensive information becomes available.
There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties following the minor tectonic event.
