Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) implores community to beware with rains to downpour and storms in several provinces of Indonesia. The early weather alarm of BMKG have determined several provinces that will experience rain to downpour. The provinces are Aceh, Bangka Belitung, Banten, Bengkulu, Jakarta, Gorontalo, Jambi, West Java, East Java, West Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, Lampung, North Maluku, Papua, Riau, Central Sulawesi, North Sulawesi, West Sumatra, South Sumatra, and North Sumatra. BMKG Head, Dwikorita Karnawati states the institution commitment in providing weather prediction that is fast and accurate in support of successful 2024 Elections. She adds that the commitment is also stated in the agreement pledges between BMKG and General Election Commission (KPU). The two institution agrees to implement live and integrated weather information provision which then will be implemented in various regions. Dwikorita also reports that since November, several areas in Indonesia who were in draught have gradually recovered. (ad/ek/pr/nm)
