Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Cabinet Secretary Lieutenant General Teddy Indra Wijaya highlighted that the People's Bazaar (Pasar Rakyat) held at the Monas square on Saturday (28/3/2026) serves as a strategic momentum to accelerate the economic turnover for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) following the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
"The goal is to breathe life back into our SMEs and traders from markets like Tanah Abang, Senen, and Pasar Ular. We bring them here, we buy their products, and the community benefits," he said during his visit to the event in Jakarta, as reported by antaranews.com.
The bazaar features a coupon system where visitors receive vouchers worth Rp500,000, split into Rp 300,000 for basic food necessities and Rp 200,000 specifically for MSME products.
Minister of MSMEs Maman Abdurrahman added that this initiative allows local artisans and traders, including shoe craftsmen from Bandung and textile sellers from Jakarta, to clear remaining holiday stock and generate fresh capital for new production cycles. By integrating entertainment with direct economic support, the government aims to ensure that the festive joy of Eid translates into tangible financial recovery for small business owners who did not participate in the mudik exodus or have already returned to the capital.
