inp.polri.go.id - Bengkulu. Personnel of Bengkulu Regional Uniformed Regular Police Directorate move swiftly and support the wildfire extinguishing effort in Bentiring Permai 2 Road, Muara Bangkahulu District, Bengkulu City on Wednesday (9/2/2026).
The effort of extinguishing the fire begins at 12.50 p.m., A total of four personnel were deployed to the location to monitor and help the process of extinguishing the fire.
Upon their arrival, personnel immediately responded to the situation and extinguished the fire to prevent it from spreading and ensure the situation around the location remained safe. Personnel also helped keep the public away from the burning area during the extinguishing process.
Bengkulu Regional Police official, Police Assistant Superintendent Tatar Insan, explained that the personnel's swift response demonstrated the police's concern and service to the community, particularly in handling incidents that could endanger the safety of civilians and the environment.
"Upon receiving a report from the public, personnel immediately went to the location to monitor and assist with extinguishing the fire. The presence of personnel in the field is expected to prevent the fire from spreading while providing a sense of security to the surrounding community," he explained.
During these activities, personnel also continuously monitored land conditions and hotspots to ensure the situation remained under control. There were no fatalities in the land fire incident.
Tatar Insan added that his team urges the public to be more vigilant against potential land fires and to immediately report any hotspots to the authorities.
The presence of personnel in handling this incident demonstrates the police's commitment to providing services, protection, and a sense of security to the public, particularly in emergency situations.
