Polda Banten Secured Four Suspects of Corruption of LH Serang Regency

inp.polri.go.id - The Sub-Directorate of Corruption of the Directorate of Special Crime Investigation (Ditreskrimsus) of Banten Police conducted a series of intense investigations since last October 2021 on allegations of corruption in land acquisition for waste final transition stations (SPA) at the Serang Regency Environmental Service (LH), according to Police Report No. 388 October 12, 2021. During the Banten Police press conference which was held in the Media Center Bidhumas Room of the Banten Police, the Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of the Banten Police, Commissioner Shinto Silitonga said that the investigators had examined 32 witnesses consisting of 25 witnesses from the Environment Service, Village and District, and 7 witnesses from land owners. "In addition, investigators have also examined 4 experts, namely state treasury experts, auditors, criminal experts, and constitutional law experts," explained the Intermediate Officer of the Banten Police. The suspect worked in groups, they seperate their roles to each suspects, SP alias B (61) as former Head of LH Serang Regency Government, TM (47) as Head Division of Garbage and LH Service Park as PPK, AH alias A (57) as Subdistrict Head of Petir and TE (48) Head of Padang State Village. "The evidence that has been confiscated by investigators is in the form of documents related to land acquisition, evidence of remittances and also Rp300 milion from the proceeds of crime," said the Kabid Humas of the Banten Police. For their actions, the suspects are subject to criminal sanctions in layers according to Article 2 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 3 in conjunction with Article 12 letter i of Law no. 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law no. 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1 of the Criminal Code which carries a penalty of 4-20 years in prison and a fine of Rp200 million – Rp1 billion.
