In anticipating crowding and preventing any worst scenarios that can occur due to fuel queues, the Bengkulu Police (Polda Bengkulu) immediately mobilized their personnel to several gas stations. On the other hand, there has also been a report of a brawl between truck drivers because of the commotion in the queue. "We have deployed our members to the gas stations to anticipate congestion and also prevent unwanted things that can occur due to the queue," said the Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of Polda Bengkulu, Commissioner Sudarno, Wednesday (23/3/2022). Kabid Humas Polda Bengkulu said that the deployment of their personnel at gas stations is part of the Police’s service to the community. In addition, the deployment can also provide comfort and order to the community. "Hopefully the situation at gas stations will soon be under control and there will be no long queues anymore," concluded Kabid Humas Polda Bengkulu. Previously, Alrido Sakti, 27, a truck driver from Sawang Lebar Village, Tanjung Agung Palik, North Bengkulu Regency, was beaten by another truck driver along with three of his friends while queueing for fuel. This case has been reported to the police and is being handled by the police.
