Traffic to tourist attractions, shopping centers, and inter-district routes is predicted to be congested from morning until night.

To anticipate this surge in activity, the Lampung Regional Police urge the public to carefully prepare for their trips, ensuring their physical condition, their vehicles, and the security of their homes during the holidays.

The Head of Public Relations for the Lampung Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Yuni Iswandari Yuyun, stated that safety during travel should be the public's top priority, especially for those planning long trips with their families.

"Long holidays are usually identical to packed traffic, especially towards tourist attractions and busy areas. Therefore, we urge the public to prepare well for safe and comfortable trips," Yuni said on Sunday (5/31/2026).

She urged drivers to ensure their vehicles are in prime condition before driving. Checking the brakes, lights, tires, and fuel is considered crucial to reduce the risk of accidents during travel.

"Ensure all vehicle documents, including driver's license (SIM) and vehicle registration (STNK), are complete and valid. Don't drive if you're tired or feeling unwell," she said.

In addition to traffic safety, she also reminds the public to be more vigilant before leaving home for extended periods during the holiday season.

Yuni said simple steps like turning off unused electrical outlets and ensuring the stove is securely fastened can prevent fires when the house is empty.

"We urge the public to double-check the condition of their home before leaving. Turn off unnecessary electrical appliances, ensure the stove is securely fastened, and check that doors and windows are securely locked," she said.

She added that public participation in maintaining personal and environmental safety is an important factor in ensuring a safe, orderly, and enjoyable long holiday for the whole family.
