inp.polri.go.id - Pangkalpinang. The Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA) of the Pangkalpinang Sub-regional City Police Criminal Investigation Unit has arrested a young man with the initials RM (25) on suspicion of sexual intercourse with a minor.
The perpetrator, a student and private employee, was arrested on Saturday, January 24, 2026.
This case came to light on Friday, January 23, 2026 after the reporter, the victim's parent, became suspicious.
The reporter received information that a man had secretly gone into his daughter's room at their home in Gabek Dua Village, Pangkalpinang.
Suspicious, the reporter immediately interrogated the perpetrator and the victim. In front of her parents, the victim, who is still a minor, finally confessed to having sexual intercourse with the perpetrator several months ago.
Angered by the perpetrator's actions, the victim's parents immediately filed an official report with the Pangkalpinang Sub-regional City Police.
Based on the report, the PPA Unit moved quickly to investigate. Just a few hours later, at 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, police apprehended RM in the Gabek area without resistance.
During interrogation, the perpetrator, from Serang, Banten, confessed to all of his actions. According to the perpetrator, the depraved acts had been committed repeatedly since September 2025.
On September 7, 2025, the perpetrator first committed the indecent act at the victim's home. Then, on September 21 and October 4, 2025, the perpetrator had another sexual intercourse with the victim at her place. Then, on October 10, 2025, and January 23, 2026, the sexual intercourse took place again at the perpetrator's boarding house in Balun Ijuk Village, Bangka Regency.
The suspect and evidence are currently being held at the Pangkalpinang Sub-regional CIty Police Headquarters for further questioning.
The police are currently completing the administrative investigation and will soon hold a case review to determine the charges. This case has received serious attention from the PPA Unit of the Pangkalpinang Sub-regional Police considering that the victim is still a minor.
