The Cyber Crime Directorate of INP, along with the Cyber Crime Sub-directorate of East Java Regional Police, has arrested AWK (23), the individual who threatened Presidential Candidate Anies Baswedan. The arrest took place at the suspect's residence in Jember early this Sunday (13/1/24). "In the initial interrogation, he confessed to making the threat," said the Head of the Public Relations Division of the INP Inspector General Sandi Nugroho, during a press conference on Saturday (13/1/24). He added that the investigation into the suspect is ongoing, and the motive behind the actions is still being examined, to be disclosed after a thorough examination. Meanwhile, he urged the community to show restraint during the ongoing election process, underscoring the significance of prioritizing unity and solidarity despite normal differences. "With the 2024 elections approaching, unity is paramount. It is everyone's responsibility to uphold order, peace, and harmony.
