Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The police have succeeded in arresting seven thugs who assault and extorts traders of Kutabumi Market, Banten. From the seven suspects, three have been identified as the perpetrators. Currently, the police is still investigating the motive behind the attack. The Sub-Regional Police Chief of Tangerang, Grand Commissioner Sigit Dany Setiyono says the seven suspect have been secured on Tuesday (9/26/2023) morning when they are gathering at a place in Kutabumi. “Three have been determined as the perpetrators with the initials of C, A, and N. The three have assaulted victims until they suffered injuries, four others are still under intensive examination. The seven suspects have been arrested for assaulting and damaging several shops in Kutabumi Market including food shops and jewelry shops. Other than arresting suspect, police also finds an information from a letter regarding the conflict. The letter contains an information of community organization alliance in solidarity for Banten community market. “But they are just community organizations. They are from BPPKB, PPBNI, Pendekar Banten, Pemuda Pancasila, and representatives of East Indonesian groups and Lapbas. They are a branch of Kemis Market community organization,” he explained.
